Tackling Post-Graduation

Do I want to enroll into grad school? What company  would I like to work for upon graduation? We ask many questions and worry about making the right decisions to better our future after college. I have recently ended my undergraduate career and earned my Bachelors of Business Administration. I double majored in Business Management/Marketing and a minored in Psychology, which is a passion of mine. I personally know how satisfying yet terrifying it can be when it comes to graduation after life. Everything you have known for the past 4-5 years is going to be completely different. Here I have 6 tips for going into the next chapter of your life we know as “Post-Graduation”. Leave a comment below and enjoy! xoxo

Tip 1: Don't Get Discouraged

I know it seems like you must have your whole life together right after you  walk across that stage but that is far from the truth. Figure out the things you want to do with your career in the future and the things you do not want to do then strive for the best results possible. Staying true to your values and working hard are most important. One of my moms favorite lines are “everybody has to start somewhere”, which is so true.
Even the people you look up to did.

    Tip 2: Challenge Yourself

Whether you already have a job lined up or are staying at your current job, asking for challenging tasks is important. Not only should you do this in your career but in your personal life as well. Whether you’re trying to lose weight or want to start your own business, you should always challenge yourself when it comes to personal hobbies and goals. Teach yourself new skills in different areas or travel the world. Indulge in everything that involves learning and practice. Make sure you’re always working on your personal goals every single day. Challenging yourself means at all times, to be the absolute best version of YOU.
Tip 3: Make A Daily Routine

The mindset I have had to accomplish my goals so far are that if I make something a habit then I am more likely to become successful at it. Having a daily routine makes something a habit. It is so much easier to meet your goals when you have a set schedule and routine to follow daily. Map out your goals and add dates of when you want them achieved then find ways to achieve them.

Tip 4: Stay Open to New Opportunities

It is important to be open minded when it comes to your opportunities Not everyone gets a job within their major right off the bat nor does everyone work at their dream job immediately. Focus on if you can learn something valuable from whatever you do. Make sure you are being smart about what jobs and internships you are taking. Your experience and skills are what will push you further than ever.

Tip 5: Budget Your Funds

Managing money is hard step for many people. You should always have a financial plan and budget in place. It is so convenient nowadays to track spending habits through online services and apps. The everyday carryout adds up quickly.

Tip 6: It’s About YOU!

Remember this is your time. Graduating college is a huge accomplishment in itself. Remember to take time to relax. YOU DID IT! Everything doesn’t have to be figured out today. Take a breather and think about these tips. Everything will fall into place. You will certainly have your dream career and life as long as you stay focused.
